About Me
I have practiced law for more than 25 years. During that time, I have advised businesses and individuals who are faced with financial setbacks – either their own, or of companies that owe them money.
My experience in debtor – creditor relations is wide and varied. I have represented businesses and high net worth individuals in chapter 11 reorganizations and chapter 7 liquidations, restructured businesses outside of bankruptcy court, defended foreclosures and collected judgments. I have also defended litigation by bankruptcy trustees to collect preferences and fraudulent conveyances, and defended objections to claims.
Some of my current clients are landlords and owners of real property, claims traders, high net worth individuals, defendants in fraudulent conveyance litigation and shareholders of a company in chapter 7.
Selected Accomplishments:
· Successfully defended a foreclosure action
· Prevented a chapter 11 debtor from selling property that it did not own
· Reorganized a private school under Chapter 11
· Allowed a creditor to file a claim after the deadline
· Prevented a trustee from settling a lawsuit for less than reasonable value
